In my day to day I currently provide advice on acquisitions and disposals of land sites in London. In this role, I gain a lot of exposure to landowners, developers and other agents, often having to do site inspections, generating appraisals and working closely with the whole team as well as clients.
I have developed a wide range of new skills while on this team, due to the teams fast paced nature I have been able to develop resilience, problem solving skills and time management as well as information management through collecting comparable evidence and learning to develop appraisals using a software called Argus to help estimate the land value of the sites
I thoroughly enjoy my apprenticeship programme. It has been an incredible learning experience, allowing me to develop new skills and gain valuable hands-on experience. The supportive environment and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals have been particularly rewarding. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth, making the programme both exciting and fulfilling.
The programme is very well organised and structured. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to ensure a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Each phase of the program builds on the previous one, allowing for a smooth progression of learning. Additionally, the clear timelines and milestones help me stay on track and measure my progress effectively. The support from mentors and supervisors further enhance the overall structure, making it a highly efficient and rewarding experience.
I receive a great deal of support from my employer. They are always available to provide guidance and answer any questions I have. Additionally, the regular feedback and encouragement help me stay motivated and continuously improve. Overall, the support from my employer has been instrumental in my growth and development throughout the scheme so far.
I receive excellent support from my training provider while working towards my degree qualification. They offer comprehensive resources, including study materials and online modules, which are incredibly helpful. The teachers are knowledgeable and always willing to assist with any questions or challenges I encounter. Additionally, the regular check-ins with my apprentice out come office and feedback sessions ensure that I stay on track and make steady progress.
Working towards my qualification through my training provider has significantly enhanced my performance in my role. The coursework is directly applicable to my daily tasks, providing me with the knowledge and skills need to excel. The practical exercises and real-world scenarios included in the training have been beneficial, allowing me to apply what I have learned immediately. Additionally, the continuous support and feedback ensure I am always improving and staying up to date with industry standards.
Yes, there are plenty of extra curricular activities to get involved in at my workplace. We have a variety of social activities, including holiday parties and afterwork gatherings. There are also a few sports teams if you are interested in staying active and enjoying some friendly competition. We also have professional networking events that provide great opportunities to connect with colleagues and industry professionals.
