Head chef at Cadent gas in Coventry. Responsible for menu design, all orders and H&S within the establishment. I also cook all main menu items along with hospitality offers and new concepts.
Yes. Since being on the apprenticeship I have learnt multiple new skills such as foraging, fermentation and how to be a more effective leader.
Love it. I've been lucky enough to be a part of the Marcus Wareing programme within Compass and I've learnt so much in the last 6 months alone. Can't wait to put it to good use.
Very well structured, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is so organised and looks after us all when we are on our away days. The days themselves are intense, but very rewarding.
My employer have been amazing. My line manager has accepted that I will be out of the business not only for away days but for my OJT too.
The chefs are on our away days and give us guidance throughout the whole day. They are also really responsive with questions, with most of them getting back to me within a day.
I've definitely become more confident in front of crowds. I was involved in a sales bid a few months back and I had to stand and speak in front of a group of clients and I didn't feel as nervous as I usually do.
Yes, I've been invited to multiple, one of which was at parliament for a networking event catered towards apprentices. It was quite eye opening and informative.
Yes
They've backed me from day one since moving over to B&I. The support I've been given from everyone has been amazing, it really feels that people want you to do well in this complany.
Be yourself, work hard and don't pass the buck. Learn from your mistakes and own them.
