I have collage on Tuesdays completing external collage work, on Fridays I'm in siemens, I work in the office in to completer get ahead of collage and internal office/paperwork. The rest of the week barring weekends (Holiday) are spent in the factory building magnets learning new processes when I can and putting them into practice myself gradually.
I have just learnt the processes more thoroughly on a large and smaller scale, the specific skills I would have developed would only be adjusting to the logic behind the process steps/ precautions in building the magnet, how to streamline the steps whilst spotting any unnecessary risks and how to use different machinery, systems and moving equipment.
Although I now feel comfortable and well settled in the factory now I feel that the could be/ could have been more direction to as how our development looks and what the different options there are for us coming into our different roles in the factory.
Although the immediate organization in learning skills is great making regular training courses easy I feel that there is a lack of direction especially when the time frame for getting any other higher level apprenticeship is limited and would love to have a informed conversation about possible prospects or a list of possible apprenticeships that could be available.
I receive a sufficient amount of support.
Could be better.
I believe it has effectively helped integrate us apprentices into the factory there was even extra information that could help in development.
Yes, I have just have to find the time to figure out how the process works as it posted somewhere on the company intranet.
Yes
They seem to have good ethics, benefits and people.
