  • I am currently being trained in Cell Culture, which includes learning processes such as 'passaging', which involves moving cells from one flask to another once they reach a certain confluence.

  • I have learned how to passage cells. I only moved into the department recently so haven't had the opportunity to learn that much

  • I am enjoying it, everyone in the team is very supportive and there is always someone that can help

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • There is a training plan that was created for my sake which has been very useful. There was a bit of confusion on how the members in the team were supposed to train me, however it was rectified quickly once asked about. My manager was also very helpful in creating an idea for my End of Year Project

  • All the support I need

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive helpful feedback, however, it does take a long time to get it. I've had follow up a couple times when it had been over a month waiting to get any feedback

  • There is only a small crossover, for example health and safety in the lab is useful, but other than that I cant relate most of what I learn to work

  • There are, such as rounders, lunches, parties (when the budget isn't cut) etc.
