I provide admin support in the office throughout my day, customer service to visitors, support meeting prep as well as more specific tasks; I run induction process in the morning to give access to subcontractors to the constructions site. Additionally I document environmental reports, track usage of materials and other resources.
I am learning how to incorporate myself in an office environment, how to complete monthly audits to organisational standards, learning about construction and how to comply to regulations.
I enjoy my apprenticeship at Kier because it is a policy compliant company that care for the health, safety and wellbeing of staff and the community.
It is very organised as Kier are able to run 100s of projects simultaneously in different sectors. They have a clear management style and delegation of tasks.
They support me financially with travel as well as other expenses. They are encouraging growth and development in other departments actively. We have regular progress reviews to focus on targets and communication.
I receive constant support from my skills coach from LDN apprenticeship. They guide me through my work, answer questions and give regular feedback whenever I need.
My apprenticeship has given me a clear understanding of the organisation and how my role contributes to it. Therefore I can understand Kier as an organisation and how they manage deliverables to meet their objectives and targets
We have regular well being events, sports events, post work drinks, volunteering opportunities, etc.
