  • Speaking to different stakeholders, ensuring the project is remaining on task e.g. schedule reviews etc. Monitoring budget. Project Closure, Manging Change Requests. Speaking to Sub contractors etc.

  • New skills - scheduling, EVM. Developed Skills - Excel, presenting/ public speaking.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme however, I find the workload with University and work to be too much a times. In addition, some placements are more enjoyable than others.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • University at a set time on a set date with deadlines for assignments given well in advanced. The other 4 days are set placement days.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We have monthly meetings with our Early Careers Team as well as meetings with our placement managers. Both placement managers and Early Careers Team are on hand.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Most of the university content from my training provided is self led/self study. There could be more input in terms of teaching. In terms of assignments workshops are held to help us plan our assignments/understand what the assignment is.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Both university and placement will have knowledge transfer. I find at time some of the activities at university are not 100% relevant or add to my role but provide context to the topic area.

  • Yes, there are social activities and stretch assignments available. This is communicated via early careers or our apprentice council.

  • Yes

  • BAE apprenticeships are a good option for anyone wanting to complete a degree and get hands on experience in their chosen field.
