As a trainee planner, I am required to create programmes which includes durations of projects and all works within that project, I am required to input progress on programmes, create holobuilder reports and complete holobuilder on different sites as well as present programmes in meetings with the project manager and much more.
Since joining Kier as a trainee planner I have definitely learnt a lot from shadowing more experienced planners and even learning new construction terms used day to day.
I really enjoy my programme as over the course of the 5 years at University as a degree apprentice, I will be able to really develop my knowledge and skills.
Personally, I believe my programme is really well structured.
My employer supports me at all times whenever needed however I also believe sometimes it's better to learn things by figuring it out yourself.
Yes
Because Kier has a lot to offer especially in terms of development. As a business there are great teams around different regions and everybody works brilliantly together. They are obviously a top tier company however they also really look after employees which you don't find often with other big companies.
Be confident and be yourself
