I am a pastry chef at Porsche Experience Centre, we have a fine dining restaurant here where we provide customers and clients with breakfast, lunch, snacks and afternoon tea daily. We also host large client events and famous events such as F1 and Porsche anniversaries.
I have learnt so much on the Marcus Wareing Forward programme such as Sustainability, Mood Food, Net Zero, and especially Nose to tail cookery which I now use in my every day role at Porsche to reduce food wastage and come up with exciting new ways to use ingredients differently.
I have really enjoyed my time on the MW forward Programme, the team and Hit trainers were incredibly supportive and talented. The away days were very well planned and I have grown so much in my confidence and abilities as a chef since being on the apprenticeship programme,
Always well planned and organized, my tutor is always there on hand to assist and help if you have any questions or worries and always really supportive in sending across extra information we may need. The structure was fantastic we always brought back so much knowledge and skills gained.
I have received support from my employee, some days it was difficult to fit my workshop calls in due to demand but it was a push and I managed to achieve the attendance. I always have office days scheduled in here at Porsche where I can really concentrate.
Always been supported, everything has been explained perfectly since day 1 and if I have any queries or questions , always gets back to me straight away. A fantastic trainer, I have recommended her to others within my workplace who want to also be on a apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship has taught me so well and has really pushed me out of my comfort zone, by getting the opportunity to present and the panel has allowed me to confidently present to the Client here at Porsche in regards to our menus and how we incorporate FoodWastage.
Yes occasional sport, quiz nights or mental health events we can attend here as staff at Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone.

I always Recommend Compass group, they have really pushed me to better myself as a person and within my Chef career. The Marcus Wareing Forward Programme has really been the best course ever, one I will never forget and to have Marcus involved is incredible - Fantastic chef!
Research Compass and the different sectors, try to visualize which sector you think you would fit in best, or which ones you would like to experience as they are all so different. Try and get involved in as much as you can as they really support this.
