  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Apprenticeship to become smart energy engineer. We split time between the British gas academy and out on the tools (on patch). The academy is a mix of theory and practical work, while being out on patch gives you good on the job experience.

  • The academy can sometimes be slightly disorganized, sometimes there is a lot of sitting around, sometimes it feels quite chaotic. Finish times are also inconsistent which can make it difficult to plan around it. Patch is much more what you'd expect, more organized and consistent.
