Throughout my apprenticeship my role changed between Accounts receivable and the Account Payable team, I spent 8 months in each and gained valuable experience. I was carrying out reconciliations, Invoice postings, Payment runs and everything which I carried out was perfectly aligned to what I was learning at the time in college.
I have learnt a variety of new skills which ultimately gained myself a permanent position as an Accounts Payable specialist, these skills raging from contacting stakeholders, Analysing accounts and data as well as advanced excel and system skills.
I greatly enjoyed my programme and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
The structuring was perfect and allowed me to gain overall a great understanding and experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable , I was constantly training and developing into my role and every day was a step forward in my journey in finance.
I received great support both mentally, academically and within work.
The support I recieved was good however towards the end as I was finishing it felt as if they did take their foot off the gas in a sense which resulted in me finishing my qualification alot later than expected.
it definitley does and allows me to put my understanding into college to carry out day to day tasks
Yes multiple networking events
Yes
I have really enjoyed my time here, and it is the best working environment i have been involved in.
As simple as it sounds work hard, enjoy what you do and try to get to know and speak to as many people as possible.
