Attending customers houses when assigned a job and interacting with them so they understand fully what my I will be doing. Which could include things like changing their meters or potentially capping them if a unsafe situation arises. Good amount of work in a day so you are not rushed or pressured to complete which could cause problems when you rush. The academy trainers are very good and helpful. They adjust to your skill level so if you are new in this field you will have no problems. Overall the academy is a great experience and an ideal place to learn.
Yes I learnt alot about customer service and gained new skills in electrical and gas engineering. Specifically Mocopa and Acs (gas) which were made easily attainable by the teaching methods in the academy.
I enjoyed this programme alot because of the people I have interacted with whether they be the academy trainers or my team on field. I believe this is because they all started as apprentices so they understand the position you are in.
The programme is well structured and you know exactly what you are doing for the whole duration.
Their is alot of support from trainers and fellow colleagues. Everyone is always willing to lend a hand or speak over the phone if you need someone to talk to.
I received alot of help to make sure I was able to be comfortable when going in for my examinations which was extremely helpful.
Gives me a great understanding on why I am doing specific tasks which my job requires me to.
People are always willing to meet up whether it's for help or just to socialise for example going out for a meal.
Yes
Great environment to learn whilst on the job. Good opportunities to work in different positions in the company.
It is a great company to work for and if you are given the opportunity definitely take it.
