  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have developed a strong interest in the gas industry and am eager to begin a hands-on career through an apprenticeship. I have some practical experience with basic plumbing and pipework, including working with hand tools, reading measurements, and following safety procedures. I have also shadowed a qualified gas engineer, which gave me insight into fault-finding, boiler servicing, and customer interaction. In previous roles (or during school/college), I’ve demonstrated strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. I am reliable, punctual, and always willing to learn. I understand the importance of health and safety in this industry and am prepared to follow all protocols and standards.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • that my qualification is helping me perform better by giving me both the knowledge and confidence I need in the workplace. The theory side helps me understand how systems work and why certain safety procedures are in place, while the practical sessions allow me to apply that knowledge in real-life situations.
