I am an early years apprentice and my role is to ensure safety of looking after young children, teach then things and make them feel safe and comfortable.
whilst working here I have learnt many things such as, appropriate ways to approach concerns of a child, handover to parents talking about their child and how they are getting on, paediatric first aid and many more fantastic things.
I really enjoy this because I have always wanted to do this job, now doing it I feel lucky to have such a lovely job taking care of young children.
structured very well I get monthly visits/zooms from my mentor, this helps me keep on track with my work and learning
my employer is very supporting, if I ever want to know anything or need any help with things for my written work I get supported.
if I ever need any support with any work I'm doing I can talk to my assessor and get the help I need, lots off support.
it teaches me more and gives me more responsibilities so that I can do my job to the best of my ability.
we have staff bonding time, where we do something after work hours to make sure we are all feeling okay and all know that we can support each other if needed.
Yes
