My role within British gas is to learn as much as I can from my academy mentors and mentors whilst out training on patch so that when I pass the gas qualification I am ready to become a fully independent gas engineer.
I have learn many new skills since starting the apprenticeship. As I was a plumber previously, I have also developed my heating fault finding and installation skills
I enjoy the programme very much, although sometimes is stressful due to the amount of paperwork involved in the apprenticeship.
I feel the programme could be better structured. There is a timetable of the apprenticeship so I do know what is happening each week.
I receive lots of support from my British gas. The mentors in the academy do everything they can to help and my mentors on patch take time to explain things that I don't understand.
I receive Los of support from my training academy mentors.
Its a mandatory thing that we have to have a gas qualification to be a British gas engineer
Yes there a many activities to get involved in. But I don't partake
Yes
So that they can have a job for life
Give 100% and the trainers and mentors will return with 110%
