I work in audit. This requires working at a clients site with a team of colleagues, going through their accounts to ensure their financial statements are acceptable. There is a lot of interaction with both the client and colleagues.
Working in audit allows you to develop communication and teamwork skills. You gain a lot of technical accounting knowledge as well. Training is provided before placements so you know what to expect and are equipped with the skills to do the work.
The programme is split between uni and work placements. The placements are spread out so on each placement you can progress and do more advanced things. Everyone at PwC is very friendly and helpful.
Each task is important and reviewed by senior members of the team. They will then provide constructive feedback on how to improve the work and make sure you know what has been done well.
The progressive placements allow you to do more advanced work each time, allowing you to apply the new knowledge you have gained at university in the meantime.
Everyone is always friendly and happy to help.
See above.
Accommodation is provided where necessary. The salary covers all living costs and travel expenses. Expenses incurred for work purposes can generally be reclaimed.
Each office has numerous volunteering, sports and social events/opportunities you can get involved with.
