One of the aspects I truly enjoy about my role is that no two days are the same. My responsibilities vary, which keeps things dynamic and engaging. On a typical day, I manage administrative tasks for clients, handle queries from clients, insurers, and occasionally other brokers, and participate in conferences and early career initiatives. Some days are focused on renewal meetings and conferences, while others may be more centred around administrative duties.
Yes. Both technical skills eg: Insurance, Company systems, Excel etc as well as soft skills eg: communication, teamwork, listening etc.
I have enjoyed my programme to a large extent.
The programme was very well structured and organised. We were given a map of how the scheme should go with milestones we should meet at different points in our programme.
Great support!

It has helped me to sharpen my soft skills as well as technical skills. However, I have had modules that have specifically helped my confidence in important skills needed as a client service provider.
Yes! Volunteering, Networking events as well as opportunities to support early career events.

What I really value about the culture at Lockton is the personable and supportive environment. It's not just about being a colleague or employee; people genuinely appreciate the effort to see each other as individuals with real lives outside of work. Lockton offers flexibility in its approach, which is incredibly important. Whether you're dealing with personal health issues, bereavement, or family responsibilities—such as caring for sick children or handling unexpected childcare situations—there's understanding and no feeling of being penalised or guilty. This supportive atmosphere really makes a difference in fostering a positive work-life balance.
