  • Day to day basis consists of programming, meetings with stakeholders, working on user stories and bug fixes within an IDE, writing documentation. Going through work set by the apprenticeship provider.

  • Object Oriented Programming, SQL, Software Development, Automation & Testing, DEVOPS, C#, Razor Pages, GIT, Azure.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Thoroughly enjoy the programme, the company has a lot of different technologies that they work with and plenty of work. My manager is fantastic at making sure I have the right kind of work, tailored around my learning outcomes for my apprenticeship.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program began with a two-week bootcamp focused on Software Development Principles, where I had the opportunity to learn C# and the fundamentals of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). Since then, the course material has steadily increased in complexity, allowing me to build on my foundational knowledge and develop more advanced skills.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive support in all my tasks, and if I need extra time to complete my apprenticeship work, it is granted. My work can be adjusted to ensure it meets my learning objectives, including providing exposure to technologies that we may no longer use.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider is excellent and when I hand in work or have any queries around my work, I can expect a reply in less 24 hours from my Digital learning consultant.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification is the foundation of my role, it gives me a solid understanding of the principles behind the work I am completing.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are volunteering opportunities, many networking events. Our team regularly meets up in the office where we will do a day's work then potentially socialise afterwards.
