  • Learning to understand and oversee the electrical side of the construction industry. Carrying out tasks safely and efficiently while learning about it.

  • Constantly learning something new while being paid is the best way to keep focus and increase your understanding.

  • Very well. There’s your direct site team as well as apprentice mentors and an amazing HR department.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Depends on the individual. If the support is needed all you have to do is ask, they’ll support you in any way they see beneficial.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Improvements could be made such as more one to one support if needed but overall they have the relevant information to guide you towards where you need to be.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The more you learn theoretically in the classroom the more you start to physically understand on site.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not that I’m aware of, however if there is a one off event it is advertised and we’re encouraged to attend.
