  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role within Nat West group my job title is 'Infrastructure Analyst'. My job is on a repeatable shift pattern (4 on 5 off, 5 on 4 off, 5 on 5 off and it repeats) I am in a reactive role, incidents come in our que and we investigate the incident and use our skills to help tackle as much as we can and if need be, engage the correct teams to help tackle the incident.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my skill of being able to work under pressure in situations. Development in my communication when interaction with external people and communicating effectively. Trusting my own judgement in situations and no relying on colleagues decisions.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am thoroughly enjoying my apprenticeship program as it is developing my skills and learning while learning a new job role and having the opportunity to join different groups to further build your skills and network.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • NatWest is a apprentice programme with a clear structure in your apprentice journey, however communication could e better.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer in m y apprentice journey, with weekly drop in calls and on shift support from my management and senior management.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • From my training provider i have received support but they organise meeting with me and my feedback on my work is within a fast pace, but when attempting to email and get in contact i have no reply.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel my qualification along side my apprenticeship benefits me as it also gives me extra training relating to my job.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many extra curricular activities in my work such as apprenticeship council, women in tech, volunteering days in businesses that rely with the companies interests and are possible to, charity walks and many more.

  • Yes

  • I would recommend Nat West group as there is a great network around you and support to progress your career, working shifts especially, well-being hour, shift allowance.
