I deal with ad hoc data requests from colleagues across the bank regarding HR/DEI metrics. I'm also taking on regular reporting involving the maintaining and processing of Power BI reports that get sent to our higher-ups. Furthermore, I am involved in projects involving the use of Python, Tableau, and SQL.
Yes. Lots. I was not very technically proficient when I joined the bank but thanks to learning resources such as DataCamp, I've been able to upskill myself in Excel, Tableau, Python, SQL, and will continue to expand my knowledge. In the future, I'll also pick up things like Snowflake.
I enjoy the learning aspect, and I enjoy the social, collaborative side.
I think the programme classes should start sooner. I joined at the end of October 2024 and I had a 4 month wait until my first class. As of now, I still haven't had a class on data analysis and so I think the classes should start a month after joining. You are least experienced at the beginning of your career so it would make sense to have classes nearer the beginning.
I receive a good amount of support from my team and my line manager. I have plenty 121's and opportunities to shadow.
I have all the support I need from my training provider. He is always quick to answer my questions.
I haven't had any classes on data analysis yet and so I can't say that, as of this moment, the training has helped me perform in my role.
Yes. I helped organise our team day by finding and booking a restaurant and also creating a quiz. There have also been social events for apprentices and grads which have been very enjoyable.
Yes
Because of the upskilling opportunities and the great people that work here.
Learn as much as you can by taking advantage of resources such as DataCamp.
