  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I was recruited in as an Apprentice for David Lloyd Clubs completing my Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship. When I finished my GCSE'S, I went to Dance College to do a BETEC qualification so had no experience or knowledge in this area at all, so was a little apprehensive! However, with the continued support and guidance from my employer and training provider, I really enjoyed the Programme and feel I gained so much from completing the Apprenticeship, giving me the opportunity to progress in my career.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed completing my Apprenticeship, as this was in an area that I didn't have any knowledge or experience in, so I enjoyed learning something new, upskilling and supporting my own development! I feel the Programme has really helped me in my role, as it has taught me a wide range of topics giving me the opportunity to grow.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I found that my Apprenticeship was really well structured as I had a clear plan as to what I needed to complete for each month. Each month was a different module and the learning was very interactive which I found really helped me to understand and retain the information. I had sessions with my coach, who I had been allocated at the beginning of my Programme where I would get the opportunity to ask any questions I might have or if there were any modules I was struggling with, my coach would support. These sessions were varied between online and face to face.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer was extremely supportive, and did everything they could to support me to do well and set me up for success. My Manager was great! If there were any topics that I needed extra support with, we would sit down to go through this in more detail and she would explain this to me from a David Lloyd perspective. I feel I really gained a lot from this as it helped me to learn more about the business and gave me the opportunity to use my knowledge within my role. This is why I feel completing an Apprenticeship is such a great opportunity as you are able to demonstrate your learning within the workplace.
