  • I maintain and update trackers for documents and activities. I assess and monitor programs. I engage in meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, where I also present information. I conduct reviews of drawings. I identify and report health and safety concerns. Additionally, I utilise 3D modelling tools.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my project management skills. Also I learned to research, collect, select and evaluate technical literature and other sources of data and information to address, analyse and evaluate civil engineering problems.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am really enjoying it. Compared to other apprenticeship programmes I have been on the structure at Vinci Construction is good with the ability to rotate within the company and project to different roles for greater exposure.

  • It is very well structured, with relevant tasks and activities provided. The leadership team highlights the importance of the apprenticeship programme to all members of staff.

  • I receive a lot of positive and constructive support from my employer.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • They facilitate study leave and a lot of colleagues provide help with tasks.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have been able to implement skills I have learned from my training provider like creating a programme of activities. My studies have helped to prioritise tasks at work.

  • We have regular football matches and team social events. I regularly help with careers events for students.
