I am an assistant manger, this includes taking lead when the business manager is not present, helping to control the P+L sheets, helping business operations, setting store targets and managing the other shift managers, as well as monitoring their performance
I have learnt more financial skills, people skills and computer skills, I have also developed my leadership skills
I enjoy learning more about the business and how to run a business from higher up the ladder, I find it interesting to find out what goes into running a business behind the scenes
I find it very well structured and easy to follow as it has each individual touchpoint and when it is due in by.
I receive a good amount of support from my business manager who sets me aside 8 hours each week to get my apprenticeship done, and regularly checks in with how am I doing and if I need any help.
I receive a good amount of support from my learning coach, she is easy to contact when I need to and we have regular check in sessions. I also find the online classrooms easy to follow and helpful to understand the course
It has helped me to deliver in my role as it has taught me new leadership styles and things I need to know as a higher role manager, I feel starting the qualification helped me get promoted to the position I am in now
We can get involved in McDonalds football if we wish to
Yes
It is a good job to develop your and career with, they are very people focused and will help you get far if you wish to. They also seem to have a better salary than most fast food restaurants
Make sure that you know what you want out of the job and they will give that back to you. You can choose to progress if you wish, but if not there is no pressure on you
