Project Coordination Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring smooth progress. Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and engineers to maintain clear communication. Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with all involved parties. 2. Health and Safety Compliance Ensure that safety protocols and regulations are adhered to at all times. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments. Organise site inductions and training for workers on safety practices. 3. Resource Management Oversee the procurement and management of materials, tools, and equipment. Monitor the availability and use of resources, ensuring there is no wastage. Manage on-site labour, scheduling workers, and ensuring they are suitably qualified. 4. Quality Control Ensure that the construction work meets the required standards and specifications. Inspect and monitor work processes to guarantee quality and compliance with building regulations. Address any issues with quality, performance, or workmanship on-site. 5. Budget and Cost Control Monitor project costs and make sure the project stays within budget. Report any cost overruns or delays to senior management and the client. Manage invoices and payments for subcontractors and suppliers. 6. Problem Solving and Decision Making Troubleshoot any issues that arise on-site, such as delays, material shortages, or labor disputes. Provide timely solutions to prevent work stoppages and ensure continued progress. 7. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, safety reports, and incident reports. Provide regular updates to senior management, clients, and stakeholders about project status. 8. Environmental and Legal Compliance Ensure that construction activities comply with environmental laws and regulations. Obtain any necessary permits or approvals for construction work. Ensure proper waste management and sustainability practices are followed on-site. 9. Subcontractor Management Oversee subcontractors, ensuring they meet deadlines, quality standards, and safety requirements. Communicate effectively with subcontractors to resolve issues and clarify expectations. 10. Team Leadership Lead, motivate, and manage on-site personnel to ensure efficient and collaborative work.
