I work in payroll, and on a day to day basis we communicate with managers within the company regarding employee working hours and organising areas of statutory pay such as sickness and maternity.
I have learnt a lot of new skills already, such as manual calculation of benefits in kind, and improved knowledge of areas such as employment law, pension, and court orders.
I enjoy learning and this apprenticeship has provided the perfect opportunity to start in a new career and learn new skills.
I have a learning session arranged with my tutor once every month, and a session arranged with the apprenticeship provider and my line manager to keep informed of the progress of my study. Each learning session brings lots of new information and gives me plenty to research until the next session.
My employer is always on hand to answer questions regarding personal research and helping me to understand any areas that are new to me. We schedule regular meetings to ensure that I am happy with my learning.
My training provider always checks to ensure that I'm happy with the learning and resources provided on the learning sessions and they are always a call or email away.
I feel better prepared to tackle aspects of the role with improved knowledge.
There are lots of activities created within the office, for example a charity food drive and bake off competition raising money for charity.
Yes
Working here has been an invaluable experience. I have gained knowledge and great friendships.
There is something for everybody here so don't hesitate to apply to join the company.
