  • Completing payment assessments for subcontractors, looking at different compensation events for issues that may occur or changes to the programme, site visits to assess health and safety, environmental impact or general progress, measuring out and pricing up different aspects of jobs.

  • How to price up a compensation event, the different things that go into a payment assessment, how to price a potential job, the different aspects of safety required on a site and the environmental considerations that need to be taken into account.

  • Easy application process with clear communication throughout. Easy to follow the programme. Designated college blocks rather than a "day release" programme allowing for focus on college work when in college.

  • Very supportive workplace, flexible working, clear structure of apprenticeship, focussed on improving, allow you to focus on professional and university development, clear focus on improving safety and environmental impacts of construction.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAM?
  • Be prepared to work away from home, ask lots of questions, be open minded and positive.
