The day to day of my role involves helping customers with their issues and queries. Scheduling meetings in for my Relationship Manager. Identifying new Customers for potential leads.
I have developed my Admin, Research, Email and Phone contact handling skills.
There is allot to learn and the learning staff are very helpful and supportive. The Job Role is handled with enough separation from the Apprenticeship to remain fresh but the expectation from other staff of workload is very forward thinking.
The dates and organisation of hand-ins and webinars etc are all well documented and known ahead of time. There is a clear path and outline of what work and learning needs to be done at each point to achieve the end goal. BPP have had some issues with Lesson Organisation
I receive lots of support from my Employer and a clear expectation and outline of what time I have available in the job role for dedicated learning work and my manager is very accommodating to allowing me to switch focus onto apprentice work when needed.
My point of contact/coach with my training provider supports me well and is always available to answer my queries and also to schedule in additional help sessions where needed.
So far I am not seeing much crossover in what my qualification covers and what I actually do in the day to day role. The qualification is more academic so far and covers allot of the regulations and reasons behind why decisions are made etc, but during the actual day to day role the why is not normally something that falls within my remit. Most tasks in the role that I have experienced would be covered by any more traditional admin experience/expectations
There are many extra-curricular activities available at NatWest and my team in particular is good at organising away days, pool tournaments etc.
Yes
NatWest Group are a supportive employer who champion DEI within their roles and make the environment a welcoming place to walk into. I find allot of the culture surrounding what the public perception of a bank is and how its staff operate has changed significantly, especially since the 2008 financial crisis.
Research the bank and your role well ahead of applying. Try and stand out with what makes you unique. There are going to be lots of people with similar qualifications or grades etc applying. What makes you a better fit over someone else with the same education?
