I work within Data Integrity Group and Quality Control. The Data Integrity Group team ensures financial assets data is setup in a timely and accurate manner to support client’s needs. The team also ensures the quality of this data is consistently up to a high standard. My role in QC involves reducing the amount of QC tasks by making any updates, catching errors, ensuring reports are kept up to date.
I have developed new IT/data skills through using BlackRock applications and furthered collaboration and communication skills.
I have really enjoyed the programme so far and have no complaints towards my team, the apprenticeship process or exams
I think that the apprenticeship programmed has been very well structured leaving enough time in between exams to prepare and study, and also learn new processes within our teams
I have received lots of support and have always been able to reach out or contact someone if I need help or have a question
We receive an alright support from our training provider BPP. We have had some difficulties accessing our learning portal such as the online webinars and made these clear to our exam coach. They haven't been too sure on why this keeps happening at the start of new lectures.
I think the qualification has helped towards my role as knowledge and skills I have gained from the qualification side has also been useful or applied in my everyday role and processes which has been really helpful
I have joined a network called the Financial Inclusion Team which has been great for getting to speak to students about finance, my experience as an intern etc, and I have also planned a social for all of us to connect outside of work
Yes
I believe it is a great company who really look after their employees, everyone is very friendly and always up for helping and there is a constant element of continuous learning which I love, as there is always something new to work on or find out more about.
Be yourself, ask questions (don't be afraid if you don't know something), do some research on the company and financial services news before joining
