  • I assist in a variety of matters, carrying out a wide range of tasks. This includes getting involved with the billing aspect of legal work, filling out forms, attending court hearings/Case Management Conferences and general admin.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • My confidence has grown significantly in this role, and I have developed many essential legal skills which will benefit me in my career later on. One key point to note is the improvement of my critical analysis and observance skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme. My colleagues are supportive of my studies and include me in their work. The university work helps develop a variety of skills and has been very informative.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • There is a very clear structure to the programme - with a set amount of hours dedicated to studies each week and the contents of the studying being clearly planned out.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer provides a lot of support. I have a dedicated supervisor who is constantly ensuring others are giving me work as well as making sure I understand the roles in the team. There is also regular check ins with the early talent team to ensure my workload is manageable and to provide the opportunity to raise any queries.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There are a number of submitted assignments which create the opportunity for specific constructive feedback to be provided. Each individual is also dedicated a skills coach who regularly keeps in contact to ensure any queries about the course are answered.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The learning I have undertaken through my training provider has helped me to understand the functioning of a law firm and the principles behind the work that my team do.

  • There are a number of team-building socials along with firm/office-wide social mobility opportunities. The firm encourage a celebration of diversity and prioritise well-being activities.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The firm is inclusive and I am yet to meet a colleague who is not friendly and supportive. They have a welcoming culture, celebrating diversity and social mobility, alongside prioritising mental health initiatives.
