The apprenticeship involves 3/4 months placements in different areas of the business. I am currently towards the end of placements and am preparing for my final role position. Placements help to understand different departments, build your network around the business and gain various invaluable skills.
I have learnt many skills and developed on top of existing skills throughout the apprenticeship. The business definitely supports learning and your development in the business.
I really enjoy the programme, it has opened the door to so many opportunities for me and allowed me to develop personally and professionally while gaining key skills.
The placement structure is well organised, managed through my apprenticeship mentor where I am able to discuss and choose which areas of the business I would like to experience.
The support from the employer is great, apprenticeship mentor, placement mentors definitely support my development.
Lots of support from training provider, the model the university operates to for the course is great. quarterly reviews for feedback and regular webinars.
The qualification helps me perform better in my role, it is linked very closely to the area of the business I will end up in my final role.
Lots of extra-curricular activities ran by apprentices / interns / grads, nights out, outdoor football, go karting etc.
Yes
I would definitely recommend the BMW Group, I feel the company truly values apprentices and their development in the business. The placement model is great for getting a wider understanding of various business areas.
Make sure you research the company when you are applying.
