Cost Consultant Review

My role involves a variety of jobs. But as a first year apprentice i have not as high responsibility of these jobs and i currently shadow and complete the work but it is always reviewed and i receive feedback from those i work with

I now have better excel skills, communication skills, punctuality skills just to name a few. My skills are still improving and i still learn something every day. However you will not experience more if you do not have the willingness to expose yourself to new challenges and skills

After my first 6 months i have really enjoyed my time in Arcadis as i have a very helpful team and I am enjoying furthering my knowledge of my industry and role every day. However the early careers team where not as supportive after the first week, but overall Arcadis as a whole is a great place to work

My programme is well structured as my educational providers are extremely helpful with laying out my degree pathway and my chartership route after i complete my degree. The firms term i have experience is a great insight to my area and is a good introduction to the university and how we will learn. However again Early careers once explaining the process in the first week have no involvement in the programme

This may vary from sectors in the business. as explained my team is beyond helpful and all colleagues and managers help me in looking to expose me to as much as possible and all help me in developing my skills . However Again as stated there is no involvement and contact from early careers after the first week

My training provide (UCEM ) are fantastic as provision of support. All module leaders i have been in contact with are very quick to help and always offer a variety of Solutions to a problem weather that is to re do an activity to relearn or just from them to explain to correct a mistake.

So far my Qualification as small links to my work as the 2 first modules are broad and do not zone into a specific area so i cannot score this accordingly until my course if further down the line

There are sports teams at my work that i have only heard of as it seems there are events mostly in the summer and i am yet to have my first summer at the company. But the social team here host a variety of events which allow for networking. But i would wish to see more provision of information for sports and other things than just socials

Personally i believe the culture of the company makes up for any slight hiccups as the collogues you will meet here all very friendly and helpful and they will want to see you succeed

Be confident in your interviews as first impressions last. Be keen and show engagement and willing even outside of the interview process as offering a week or more of you time for experience shows a willing to learn and succeed within the company. And don't be afraid to ask questions about achieving goals at the company
