Lab based role, including: cell culture, cellular imaging and tissue imaging.
Vast amount of new skills: scientific skills, knowledge, communication, problem solving, creative thinking, working autonomously.
It can be challenging with the workload but the programme is very insightful and managed well.
I have communication with my line manger, the apprenticeship committee and university contact. So you are overseen by a lot of people with ranging experience.
Lots of support, finically, emotionally and professionally.
Regular meetings with skills coach and on-site residentials.
With my scientific role knowledge is key, it would be near impossible to do the role without a scientific backbone.
