I work in the Tax Investigations team, meaning I represent clients and deal with HMRC investigations/compliance checks. On a day to day basis, this involves drafting letters and Reports, preparing tax computations, and corresponding with HMRC and clients.
Yes, I learnt a lot of new skills, including communication with clients/HMRC, and also with my colleagues. I have also learnt how to draft compelling letters and Reports.
We receive a large amount of support from our employer, and can always reach out should we have any questions/concerns about our training programme. There are also quarterly Forum meetings which allow us to regularly provide feedback, which is truly listened to.
Tolley always provides support with our studies.
Yes, there are regular firmwide socials, team socials, trainee socials, and I am also a member of the firm netball team.
Yes
It is an enjoyable place to work; we all work in the same building; it is very social and trainees are well supported throughout their training contracts.
I would recommend that they research Buzzacott as a firm and also the training contract/exams.
