  • Start college at 8:30-9:00 starting with either a classroom lesson or a workshop session depending on the day and working through assignments or assessment within the workshop

  • Developed many transferable skills that can be used in all aspects of life and also learning how to use many machines and use other tools and work with different materials

  • I enjoy the pace of the programme as the workload isnt too harsh and provides you with enough time to work through assignments whilst having time out of work to do other things

  • Overall the programme is well structured however Furness college has certain issues such as staffing but apart from that it is well organised

  • The support is good and there is many different people you can speak to if any help is needed and many different departments for different issues you may have

  • They provide a lot of help with showing us various road maps and allowing us to speak to various people to get an idea of what we will be doing and how we can prepare

  • They provide us with many transferable skills and knowledge that can be transferred over to a practical setting so to prepare us to go on site

  • Because they have a good reputation and provide all the necessary skills to excel in your job role and also provide the transferable skills that can be used in the case you don’t stay at the company

  • Research the job role you are thinking of applying to get a good idea of what it might involve
