On a day to day basis, I construct MRI scanners for the factory, for me this includes processes such as soldering, working with acid and electrical testing the MRI scanner.
Since starting the apprenticeship i have learned many new skills, such as: Welding, Soldering, Milling, Turning, Hydraulics and Pneumatics and many Mechanical skills. At collage I learnt how to use CAD software and many maths skills.
I enjoy it because of the skill learning and the development into a career.
it is very well structured as for the fist year you are at collage, then you come to the factory and learn the processes used on a daily basis. this helps with the write ups because i am familiar with the processes.
I get a lot of support from my mangers co-workers and the collage.
The collage is very supporting, the lecturers seem to push you that extra mile for a distinction and they help the whole way through.
it helps me understand more on what I am doing and why I am doing it, for example electrical testing i understand because of all the training i have done, it made it a lot easier when I came to the factory to understand the purpose and the process.
