My role as a travel consultant apprentice includes completing apprenticeship coursework and gaining experience on the shop floor. Some day-to-day activities include changing daily deals to follow audit requirements, gaining experience with customers by selling holidays, learning about different destinations and more!
I have learnt lots of new skills since starting my apprenticeship with TUI. This includes my confidence, communication, listening and my knowledge on many different destinations.
I thoroughly enjoy my apprenticeship - from learning about different destinations to different customer types, I am so excited to learn something new everyday!
My apprenticeship is very well organised and structured. My apprenticeship coach makes sure that I meet my deadlines and that I have time to complete my coursework in time. I have a day off of the shop floor to do this which is very helpful.
I receive lots of support from my apprenticeship coach, retail manager, assistant manager and my other colleagues. If I am ever stuck on anything or need help with anything, they are always there to help me and provide support whenever I need it.
I receive lots f support from my training provider which is very helpful!
I feel that my qualification helps me to perform better in my role through my knowledge and skills that I have learnt and developed.
Yes, there are social events to get involved in as well as networking events.
Yes
I think TUI is an amazing company to work for, the support I receive is brilliant and the work environment is so friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend everyone to work for TUI!
For others applying to work for TUI, my best advice would be to be yourself!
