My role includes running a shift and managing team members on that shift. Communicating with back of house and ensuring all the guests are happy. I deal with any problems or complaints and help the team run a smooth shift. I encourage team members progression and strive to keep brand standards high.
I have learnt a lot about management styles and how best to manage change and expectations. I have learnt theories to back up ideas regarding feedback and marketing and have overall improved my understanding of the reasons why we do what we do.
I have really enjoyed the programme especially as a joint cohort with another large brand as it’s given a wider insight into the industry.
