I mainly have a project delivery role, working on project deliverables and in diverse teams. This includes a mixture of research, report writing and project management.
I have developed a lot of interpersonal skills such as communication and confidence, alongside technical skills such as GIS, modelling, Excel analysis and CAD.
I enjoy the content of my programme and how the content directly leads to my job.
There are challenges coordinating the university, place of employment and what is expected of you as well as fulfilling everything to the best quality.
The employer is supportive, mainly if you ask what you need. This is hard as you don't always receive information to get a forward look which would enable you to plan ahead.
Most lecturers get back to you via email.
It adds a layer of theory, that provides a good base knowledge for application at work.
Monthly socials at the office and then I attend networking events externally.
