I work as an auditor in the charity and not for profit sector. My main role is orientated around completing audits and managing my audit team.
Over my time at Buzzacott I have developed countless skills including use of excel and audit software as well as inter personal skills including communication (both inter company and with clients) and leadership through managing my audit team.
I thoroughly enjoyed my programme. Being able to apply knowledge that I learnt in college in my day to day role was a massive motivation boost and has helped me develop my passion for accounting.
Buzzacott structured my programme extremely well, initially starting as a Level 3 AAT from school, working my way up through my level 4 and then finally my ACA. It helped develop a solid foundation which my further studies have been based on.
My employer was super understanding of the process. Given that the majority of my managers have gone through the same apprenticeship of me they understood the additional pressure I had during exam times, and supported me where they could.
First Intuition provided me with well written up to date training materials and had tutors who were passionate about the subjects they were teaching, and were happy to help with queries and set up calls outside of college hours.
I was able to implement all knowledge I learnt in my role. This allowed me to feel more confident in talking to clients as I had a better understanding of the topics we were discussing.
Buzzacott has a number of social committees and events ranging rom running clubs to quiz socials. It allows new members of staff to implement quickly into the company and build a community.
Yes
Buzzacott has supported me throughout my studies and has helped me develop not only my technical skills abut also my personal development, making me a more confident person. I would recommend this role to anybody who is looking for a supporting space to start their career.
I would advise others to be themselves and not worry as all of the managers are friendly approachable people.
