  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • as a consultant, my day consists of many meetings, with a lot of interactive work, being able to span across multiple different projects and being included in active work that provides an actual impact. in this i am able to experience the entirety of my area and network across different positions within this role

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • absolutely, there have been many opportunities to develop my skills both in university and on the job, learning a wide range of things within SAP and general consulting skills, being able to be put on courses and training KT sessions to develop my skills within my team and the wiser area of the company

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • massively, there are a bunch of opportunities to be spanning out and learning within the area, the programme as a whole has helped me with my onboarding and providing the accurate contacts to be more congruent with the area that i am in, there has been plenty of opportunities to learn and be more fluent in onboarding into the company

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • it is very good, while there may have been areas where i had to do my own digging to feel around more within the area i am in, it has on the whole been very well structured in allowing me to be independent but also having a backbone for help and support where i may need it

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • enough when i need it absolutely, i think being independent is very valuable, and there are opportunities to be independent within the company but if i ever need any support from my employer, there are always contacts that i can count on to help me with any issues i have

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • there is a big push to get trained, and there are opportunities that support this, if i need any help in applying for training i can contact the correct people to get it done and there is plenty of support in getting it actually done with experienced professionals helping show me where the areas for development to progress further are

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i think that the actual program from the university has been tailored to the company and i have seen the usage of aspects within the course being useful inside of the workplace already, being able to target the areas of work helps me be more confident in addressing business needs where needed and i can be confident in my own work being backed by training

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • there is a multitude of events available to hold on to the social values within the company with volunteering at schools and events where i am able to engage with people that i wouldnt usually work with, capgemini holds social values very close and it is evident through the events that they hold to make sure this is addressed

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • the culture within the company is so welcoming i recommend it to anyone i know, with the onboarding process being fluent and easy to take on, i have been accommodated and nurtured into a position where i can see growth happening with the support i receive, the company actively pushes me to be better within the space im working in


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • absolutely just be yourself, capgemini is a people company and it shows in the people they hire, they recognise people that are open to talking and expressing an attitude to take opportunities with confidence and a desire to grow, it is for sure all about how you present yourself and your attitude to progressing at work and the attitude to professional growth
