My role mainly consists of the accounts payable aspect in the finance department. I mainly deal with supplier queries, etc. along with supplier statement reconciliations ensuring that accounts are kept pristine clean to avoid any inconveniences.
I've definitely learn many new skills in my role such as specific formulas (VLOOKUP, etc) on Excel that considerably improves efficiency whilst doing supplier reconciliations. I have also developed my communication and confidence to the point where I'm able to speak to suppliers in a concise manner to resolve certain issues that may arise.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme as there's always something new to learn and develop on.
My programme is well structured as I haven't come across any issues at all.
The support I receive from ESG is great. With my department, i'm able to go to everyone for support and guidance with no hesitation as the team fosters a great working environment for you to feel comfortable with anything that may arise.
I've got my own personal skills coach at First Intuition Chelmsford who has been great throughout my programme. The study material you receive for the qualifications are also top-tier as I've managed to pass my exams with no issues.
The AAT qualification definitely helps big time as you gain a foundational understanding of the accounts function within the course material and from the tutors who have experience working in a finance function. You're able to pick up off of what you learn and apply it to your everyday work.
Yes - there's plenty of activities that happen throughout the year to enjoy.

The opportunity I've been given at ESG has pushed me to new boundaries in which I never would've gotten at any other company.
Don't hesitate to apply as my apprenticeship has been great and i'm only improving as every day passes by working for ESG.
