I run a branch for Toolstation in the Loughton area looking after 6 other staff members and provide a compelling customer experience to everyone who cross the threshold of my store front. I manage all things within my branch and take pride doing it.
Working with my LEAP coach I have opened new avenues of thought that I did not think I could and have brushed up and sharpened the saw on many of my existing skills. This has been a very beneficial course to be on.
I get plenty of time and plenty of support to implement the ideas and trials that we work together on during the course and I have re-found that passion for the work I am doing by getting the sense of being successful again.
My coach is excellent at how he handles my course and LEAP themselves have given adequate time for everything. I feel I am well supported throughout the course.
My manager liaises with me regularly and gets involved in aiding me with the tasks when I need him too.
I get plenty of support when I need it, and there is plenty of support available to me should I want it.
It has already started to pay off in the role I do in the workplace and the store is already started to see the benefits of the implementation from the work I do.
At the moment no.
Yes
Because the job role itself can be enjoyable and the people you meet are good people. You just got to want to be here, not be here to make up the numbers.
Be honest, and be ready to work. Learning never stops, so don't get comfortable in thinking it's just another retail job because it career, one that you can actually enjoy.
