  • First part of the apprenticeship is full time at furness college, this consists of Bae behaviours, workshop doing domestic electrical installation, quality control, communications, panel wiring

  • I have learned how to test electrical equipment. I have learned how to read and relate to an on site guide. I have developed communication skills

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the electrical side of the course, however I do not like being full time at Furness college

  • It is common to be in lessons at college when there is not any tutors to teach, this causes me to become behind on some of the work that is required

  • I receive more than enough support from my employer, they are very good at helping their employees in any way that they can

  • I do not receive as much support from the college as I receive from my employer

  • I feel as though I have learned skills that I will be able to take with me through my career through the college workshops

  • I do not get involved with any of the above

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because they look after their employees very well, the pay is good and the hours are good


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Ensure that you know the importance of being punctual and that you know the importance of health and safety in the workplace
