My role at the moment involves attending college 5 days a week, my days are balanced between working in the electrical workshop and learning theory.
During my role I have developed on my communication skills as you meet lots of new people that you will be working with everyday. Another skill I have developed is adaptability as I had to go from working remotely to going to college everyday which I haven’t done since being at school.
I enjoy it a lot, you are well trained and looked after.
I think my programme is very well organized as they provide you with everything you need
I receive a lot of support from my employer, for example every couple of months we receive a wellbeing check to make sure we are all okay and on the right track.
We receive a lot of support considering sometimes we don’t have a tutor for some lessons, but our other tutors make sure we are fully up to date with our work to make our exams less stressful
We get safety training, for example working at heights and I’m safe training. This helps us understand the importance of safety in the workplace and helps us keep not only ourselves but everyone around us safe.
