  • I am currently just learning basic electrical skills at furness college as well as doing class work to gain a better understanding of my role

  • Yes I have learnt a lot since starting as I had no previous electrical skills and I joined the company straight from school.

  • I would say I enjoy the apprenticeship and have fun and still learn in work.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • In college I would say the apprenticeship hasn’t been the best structured since starting and had inconsistent teaching.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • From my employer I have a lot of support. Have meetings often to see how the apprenticeship is going and how we are doing as employees.

  • We receive some support from the training provider.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think the practical side of work is good and the training provider helps getting us to our qualification standard.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • So far I have participated in one extra curricular activities which was outward bound that was very enjoyable and I think they’re are more extra curricular activities to be apart of.
