  • Aid in the support of new production lines and maintain PFMEA compliance to pass audits. Also complete investigations along with product quality and product development in the event of a quality concern to prevent faulty products being sold

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to use CAD and to configure production stations to track part progress in the production line. I have developed my presentation skills to aid in the feedback of new technologies being installed.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme a lot as everyday is unique and it covers a wide range of skills that will be useful for the rest of my life.

  • My programme is very organised, with my university teaching days being communicated well in advance, and any on the job training being delivered in a professional and organised structure

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supporting of my apprenticeship, with us being given sufficient time to prepare for assignments, and being very open if we have issues regarding work or studies as we have direct communication to the apprenticeship management team

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider is also very supportive of our qualifications, with us being able to message our tutors at any time to clarify any work that we have done. We are also supported with academic writing, with an optional course being given to us if we need additional support

  • My qualifications through the training provider are very relevant to our job role, with all topic being driven by real-world experiences and enable me to undertake more responsibilities in my job.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are monthly team events where we take part in sports or go for a meal. These serve as great teambuilding exercises and helped me settle into the role when I first started.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • JLR is very supportive of my growth as an apprentice and allocate sufficient time to complete both my work and university duties during work hours. They are also very focused on allowing personal growth, with many schemes focused on developing new skills


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLR?
  • Be yourself, JLR are supportive of developing yourself with new skills and experiences along with annual team improvement opportunities to enable you to settle into your new role
