  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Working in my team. We start every day with a stand up to update one another on our progress working on "tickets". We work in pairs, programming to build new features, maintain existing features and fix bugs regularly.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am continually learning and developing my skills as a software engineer, specifically in learning a completely new language, Java, and in how the coding fundamentals I have learnt apply to a real life business context.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am really enjoying the programme. I feel well supported by my team and it is a very welcoming place to work. It has been a great challenge so far.

  • The programme is well structured and organised, although there is a degree of flexibility due to how the work varies.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer has been very supportive. I have had many meetings with people from different areas of the business which has helped give me a greater understanding of the wider business context of my work. Within my team, I have regular catch ups with my tech lead, scrum master and buddy.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We have regular meetings and all of the coaches at Multiverse have been very kind and supportive.

  • The qualification and course has helped give a strong basis to perform better in my role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I have joined a work hiking group and we did a very snowy walk in Wales last month - which was great. We have another hike planned for next month. I have joined for our socials which has also been really nice.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Motability Operations to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It's a great place to work. People are really friendly and it's a really supportive environment. There seems to be a lot of internal opportunities to progress your career in the direction you want to. The work we do is also really important which is motivating.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Motability Operations?
  • Research the company and find out if it would be the right place for you. Do it! It's a great place to learn and grow and people are really nice!
