I work as a data engineer for my organisation, focusing on building robust reporting pipelines, supporting data storage systems such as our Data Warehouse and enforcing standards within our relational database management systems (RDBMS). The wider team I work for, Data and Analytics, ensure data flows securely from source systems whilst taking precautions against data breaches, maintaining data integratory as a single source of truth and supporting analytics to drive data-driven decisions

Yes, during the course we have been analysing data security, what constitutes robust data infrastructure and how to enhance best practice. We have submitted written projects and brushed up on critical degree level writing. The content has also encouraged me to critically assess the systems and protocols we have in place as a company , developing my understanding of why we have such security procedures.

I have enjoyed the course so far and i find it both interesting and a huge help in my daily role. It is giving me a solid foundation for career development.

Yes there are lots of different things available and it is an excellent forward thinking company. Activities range from coffee mornings, fun runs, yoga, fantasy football, board game clubs and so on.
