  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • A decent amount, it helps my understanding of electrical systems and how systems function. It doesn’t necessarily help with my actual experience doing the jobs however.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Probably. I wouldn’t think about joining any sports teams until I’m qualified and fully settled into one sector/placement. However, everyone loves a pint so I’ll be there for any work-do’s 👍.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Babcock to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • 💰 💴 💵 It’s also enjoyable and a great work environment. Good area to be in. Some great people; always learning new skills and gaining experience. All in all though, the money is pretty good, and that’s why we all work realistically.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Babcock?
  • Don’t expect to learn much in your first 2 years. In college they’ll throw tests at you without even teaching you how to do them.
