My role is dealing with customer cases under child maintenance service, I work on how money is sent to children living with parents with care to bridge the gap of poverty and lack of care, I take inbound calls and answer queries.
Yes I leaned new skills, active listening and understanding the different ways of finding out the root of a problem and how to find it by using the fish bone technique, and understanding the reason for change and the different types of change like the Kaizen method.
I enjoy my programme very much because of the new information which is very relatable and transferable to my job role, it gives me an understanding how the company operates within the environment as a whole and the impact the the political sector has on the company.
It is structured quite well as every level graduates to a new level which might look like repetition but it all consolidates the learning.
my employer supports me as much as possible, time is given to complete the projects and attend virtual learning classes.
I have received quite a lot of support and ideas from my training provider in the form of 121 meetings and extra materials and advice.
I have a sense of confidence and a greater sense of capability with the qualification, I feel more qualified and in tune with my role and how I am to deliver a quality service.
yes there is an event platform called HASSRA where trips are organised at discounted prices, tickets to concerts at 02 Arena are discounted also

DWP is a noble and prestigious place to work, there is room for learning and upskilling and it moulds you into a professional
Because it is a fast paced environment I would advise that they take their time, find a way to organise their time and manage it well because of deadlines and targets.
